The "Sutton at the Movies" Achievement Awards
We all know that the Academy Awards are tonight, but more importantly, it's time for the annual "Sutton at the Movies" Achievement Awards! I actually almost forgot all about them, but with the Oscar ceremony tonight and the Razzies last night, I might as well spring this silliness on you now. So let's get right down to the nitty gritty, okay?
- Best Movie: Django Unchained
- Best Actor: Robert Downey Jr., The Avengers
- Best Actress: Jennifer Lawrence, The Hunger Games (and I still haven't seen Silver Linings Playbook, thank you for asking)
- Best Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson, Django Unchained. Both of them were so awesome that I couldn't pick just one.
- Best Supporting Actress: Lena Headey, Dredd
- Best Sequel: The Expendables 2
- Best Action Movie: The Expendables 2
- Best Comedy: Ted
- Best Horror Movie: Sinister
- Best Remake: Frankenweenie
- Best Animated Movie: Wreck-It Ralph
- Best Foreign Movie: [•REC] 3: Genesis
- Best Movie Based On A Comic Book: The Avengers
- Best Movie Based On A Video Game: Resident Evil: Retribution. Yeah, it sucked, but it was still better than Silent Hill: Revelation.
- Best Fight: Mark Wahlberg vs. a CGI teddy bear, Ted
- Best 3D Effects: Prometheus
- Worst 3D Effects: Men in Black 3
- Best Movie About Abraham Lincoln: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Suck it, Daniel Day-Lewis.
- Worst Movie: Paranormal Activity 4 (only because I haven't seen Breaking Dawn 2 yet)
