Your Guide To Survival

Don't have a whole lot to update today, except there's a new addition to the blog, and that's the "Horror Movie Survival Guide." If you ever get stuck in a horror movie, that'll help you out. And if you have any suggestions for that, you can get ahold of me with the methods I described in my previous post.

Me and Mo competed in a "backyard wrestling" match in my grandmother's barn yesterday, and I am still sore from it. That's something I really don't need to be doing on a regular basis.

Not much else to say for now. I may have a post on Saturday or Sunday, so check back then. See ya.

Float Like A Butterfly, Rock And Roll Like A Bee

Hey, fellas. Got a little news for everyone: I'm not gonna be at CU this semester for personal reasons. For all my buddies reading the site from CU, you can contact me via e-mail or AIM.

Me, Mo, and Willy went to see Ali last night in Bardstown. It's an incredible movie, and I'll say right now that Will Smith deserves Best Actor at the Oscars. Mario Van Peebles is also should get at least a Best Supporting Actor nomination, as his portrayal of Malcolm X was really, really good.

Just added to the site: a list of the DVD's I own. I just thought I'd add it as an archive, and if and when I return to CU, all my "clients" for my unofficial rental service can use it for their own reference. You can go to it by clicking the link.

The blog wasn't around then, but I found some items online that brought back memories of my road trip to Nashville back on October 18th. Me and a posse travelled down to Nashville's 328 Performance Hall for a stop on Five Iron Frenzy's "Electric Youth Tour," which also included Ace Troubleshooter, John Reuben, and Relient K. The trip included the concert, and a stop at a Steak & Shake in Antioch, Tennessee, where me, Kenny, and Linne bussed tables, made milkshakes, and grilled burgers because the employees were having a busy night. FIF's part of the concert actually was reviewed in this month's edition of CCM Magazine. A cool thing about the concert was running into Priscilla Hamilton, a friend of mine from high school. I totally wasn't expecting to see anybody but the crew I went with.

That's all for now, and I'm outta here. Peace, y'all.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year, everybody!

Me, Willy, and Mo (the homeboys from the hometown) got together for New Year's, and went to Fayette Mall in Lexington today, where I picked up volumes one and two of "The Best of Backyard Wrestling" video series. Some cool news during the trip: A phone call home revealed that Willy's an uncle, as his sister Amy gave birth to a New Year's baby.

That's all I've got, and I'm outta here like I stole something.
