The Top 25 Of The Last 10

Wow. Can you really believe that in just a few hours, the year that was 2009 and the decade that was the '00s will be over? It seems like not too long ago I was at a party marking the end of the '90s. Where does all the time go?

I've made it no secret of my affection for movies over the last several years. But while a lot of bloggers and critics and other sorts of people will do lists of their best and worst things, I've always steered clear of that...

...until just now.

Like with MySpace and Facebook and Twitter and blogging in general, I decided to cave in and comprise my list of the top 25 best movies of the '00s. These are in no particular order, and these are all one guy's personal opinion. So bear that in mind while reading, won't you?

So here we go:
  1. American Psycho
  2. The Dark Knight
  3. Watchmen
  4. Iron Man
  5. Sin City
  6. The Wrestler
  7. Rocky Balboa
  8. O Brother, Where Art Thou?
  9. No Country for Old Men
  10. Black Snake Moan
  11. Mystic River
  12. Gran Torino
  13. Changing Lanes
  14. Collateral
  15. The Incredibles
  16. WALL-E
  17. Corpse Bride
  18. One Hour Photo
  19. Hard Candy
  20. Monster
  21. King Kong
  22. Requiem for a Dream
  23. The Others
  24. Star Trek
  25. Battle Royale
Like I said, these are all personal opinion, and they're in no certain order. And I could probably turn this into a Top 30, Top 40, or even Top 50 if I'd wanted to, because I had plenty of movies I could have included on the list.

But that's what I'm going to stuck with. Do you agree? Disagree? Leave a comment, because this sort of thing is always up for discussion.

That's enough of me talking about movies, though. There will be plenty of time for that tomorrow, the first day of 2010, when I post the 2009 "Sutton At The Movies" Achievement Awards. Keep your eyes peeled for that, and I hope you all have a safe and prosperous new year.
